Ryan Smith Bio

Ryan is the PwC Orange County Office Managing Partner focusing on guiding our Orange County people, client and community relationships in the market. He’s also an Assurance partner serving clients in the technology (software, software as a service (SaaS), hardware, internet and semiconductor), automotive, life sciences, aerospace & defense, and consumer products industries.  

Ryan serves clients ranging from large multi-national public companies to emerging growth and venture backed entities. He assists clients through a range of issues including initial public offerings, spin-offs, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, equity and debt financing 
arrangements, fraud investigations, SEC reporting matters, and Sarbanes-Oxley implementations/compliance. 

Ryan also spent two years on tour at PwC's National Office where he was part of the Accounting Services Group focusing primarily on supporting clients and engagement teams in the areas of revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, debt/equity transactions, business combinations, and a variety of other complex topics. During Ryan's time at the National Office, he supported the firm's role on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s (AICPA) Financial Reporting Executive Committee. Ryan is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in California and New Jersey and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
