Bala Iyer Bio

Bala Iyer has served on ten public company boards since 2001 and currently serves on the boards of Power Integrations and Clarivate Plc.

As a board member, Bala has overseen more than 100 acquisitions as well as divestitures valued at over $40 billion and has overseen over $10 billion in equity and debt financing and served on several pricing committees. He currently chairs the Audit Committee at Power Integrations and the Risk Committee at Clarivate Analytics.

He previously served on the boards of Churchill Capital, “IHS Markit”, Life Technologies and its predecessor company Invitrogen, IHS, QLogic, Skyworks Solutions, Conexant Systems and Overture Services and received recognition as a member of the NACD Directorship 100 in 2019 for leadership in the board room.

Bala served as CFO of Conexant Systems and VLSI Technologies during his long career in the technology industry. Bala has a BTech in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, an MS in Industrial Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
